Kyrgyzstan to introduce new driver licenses for its citizens

AKIPRESS.COM - President Sooronbai Jeenbekov received the Chairman of the State Registration Service Almaz Mambetov on June 6 to discuss current situation in the registration system of the country and its modernization.
The main direction of the SRS activities in 2019 should be promotion of digitalization of the nation through introduction of inter-departmental electronic cooperation Tunduk and electronic government. Additionally, information on development of the cadastral system and registration of the properties of citizens was delivered.
Mambetov told President that the SRS is readying for introduction of new driver licenses of high degree of protection for citizens of Kyrgyzstan.
"The prices for licenses will be twice cheaper. The project was initially implemented by a private firm, now the SRS is dealing with it," he said.
At the moment of introduction of new licenses, temporary driver licenses will be issued for those who are getting them for the first time or getting them again.
He also told about plans to facilitate provision of services to the citizens.
