Bishkek, June 7, 2019./Kabar/.The State Committee for Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use plans to hold 7 tenders for field development by the end of 2019, Karybek Ibrayev, the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee told during the press conference at Kabar News Agency.
"In particular, we plan two coal deposits in Sulukta and Tuyuk-Kargash this year. There are 80 million tons of coal in Sulukta, and the estimated tender amount is $8 million. Tuyuk-Kargash has 35 million tons. We also plan to put up for tender the gypsum deposit mining with a reserve of 2 million tons, with the amount of USD 132 thousand. This is an estimated amount, and the conditions will be further developed," he said.
Ibrayev added that a tender for the Togolok gold deposit mining in Issyk-Kul Oblast with reserves of 17 tons with the amount of $ 24 million is also planned.
In addition, Myrza Jamanbayev, the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use said that 6 tons of gold was produced at Kumtor and 1 ton at Altynkene gold mines in four months of 2019. 16.6 tons of gold was mined in 2018, which is 50% less than this year.
"With regard to coal, 470 thousand tons were mined in three months of this year, which is 26-30% more than last year's figures. Also, 55 thousand tons of oil was produced," he explained.
