European and CIS experts discuss medicine, ecology and security issues in Bishkek

Bishkek, June 7, 2019. /Kabar/. The round table "Humanism, ecology, security: values in the XXI century" was held today in Kyrgyz State University named after Arabayev.
The event was attended by Ambassador of Switzerland to Kyrgyzstan Veronique Hulmann, Tolobek Abdyrakhmanov, the Chancellor of the State University, Head of Cooperation Section of the European Union Delegation to the Kyrgyz Republic Charlotte Adriaen, Director of French Institute for Central Asian Studies Catherine Poujol, Kyrgyz Ombudsman Tokon Mamytov, and representatives of government, international organizations and civil society.
French Institute for Central Asian Studies research assistant Diana Skiba said that event is devoted to the study of problems of ecology, medicine, environment, security issues - terrorism and extremism.
The event was organized with the financial support of the French Institute for Central Asian Studies, the Swiss Embassy and the EU Delegation.
French Doctor Francois Gouraud, who spoke at the roundtable "Electronic medicine: what will change in people's lives in the near future," said that he introduces an electronic application for physicians in Kyrgyzstan.
Philippe Boizeau, the Founder and President of the French-Kyrgyz Association of Ecotourism, made a presentation on theme "Preserving the urban vegetation’s capital in the XXI century: urban forest in the face of changing climate". He noted that there is importance to preserve green spaces in the capital city.
French Institute for Central Asian Studies and Kyrgyz State University will sign cooperation agreement.
