Authorities deny reports about detention of Rysaliyev

AKIPRESS.COM - Reports on alleged detention of lawmaker Zarylbek Rysaliyev are untrue, the General Prosecutor's Office said in a statement on June 7. "Zarylbek Rysaliev was interrogated as witness within the investigation and then released," the statement said.
Ministry of Internal Affairs also denied reports about the detention of Rysaliyev.
"On June 7 at 10:00 am, the former Interior Minister Zarylbek Rysaliyev was summoned to the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for questioning on the illegal release of Aziz Batukayev. The interrogation lasted more than 2 hours and then there was a break for lunch. When he returned from break, he felt bad and called an ambulance. Rysaliyev was taken to a special polyclinic and now is being treated by doctors," the Interior Ministry reported.
Reports circulating online that Rysaliyev felt bad inside the investigator's office during interrogation are untrue. He was not detained for 48 hours as the reports circulating online say, and no convoy is guarding him at the hospital, the statement said.
