Chui region governor sacked

AKIPRESS.COM - Prime Minister Muhamedkaliy Abilgaziyev dismissed Tuigunaly Abdraimov from the post of Chui region governor.
The Chui region governor was sacked in line with the constitutional law on the government of the Kyrgyz Republic.
On June 5, Abdraimov refused to answer questions of journalists about the conflict that erupted early on June 5 in Orok village in Chuy region "because he did not like the journalist's face." In the video footage, he is seen laughing and walking away from journalists.
"The Prime Minister regrets about the situation between the civil servant of this rank and journalist, because it impacts the entire executive branch. This especially concerns issues of cooperation with media that highlight critical issues in the society. The Prime Minister will evaluate actions of the Chui region governor after study of all circumstances of the incident," PM's press secretary Adilet Sultanaliev said earlier.
