Bishkek, June 11, 2019. /Kabar/. All the structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic will switch to a reinforced regime to ensure public security during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit, the state visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping and the official visits of Mongolian President Khaltmaagiin Battulga and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Almaz Orozaliyev, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan told during the press conference at Kabar News Agency.
He noted that on June 12-15 more than 5,000 people and 250 cars will come out to ensure security.
"The strengthening of police force is being introduced during the preparation and holding of the SCO summit in Kyrgyzstan to ensure public safety, respect for the rule of law, prevent accidents and maintain a stable operational environment. In connection with the importance of the events the Kyrgyz Internal Ministry asks residents and guests of the capital to treat with understanding the events held. The Interior Ministry also apologizes for the temporary inconvenience and hopes that road users will understand the introduction of this forced measure," Orozaliyev said.
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit will be held in Bishkek on June 13-15 under the chairmanship of Kyrgyzstan. Eleven heads of state will arrive at the event. Chinese President Xi Jinping, Mongolian President Khaltmaagiin Battulga and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also pay official visits to Kyrgyzstan.
