Manas opera presented in Bishkek in Chinese

Bishkek, June 11, 2019. / Kabar /. The Central Opera and Ballet Theater of the People’s Republic of China, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China presented in Bishkek Manas opera in Chinese based on a version of Zhusup Mamai.
The work on staging of opera of the epic of Manas was carried out for 2 years by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Central Institute of Opera of China. The script was written based on a version of Zhusup Mamai, translated into Chinese by Doctor of Philology, Professor Adyl Jumaturdu, who lives in China.
The opera was staged 9 times from September 2017 to May 2018 in various cities of China and in Beijing. It involves more than 200 artists of Chinese state theaters. Artists and opera directors traveled to the Kyrgyz Autonomous Region Kyzyl-Suu several times to experience the originality, culture and history of the Kyrgyz people themselves.
Earlier, President of Kyrgyzstan, Sooronbay Jeenbekov, during a state visit to the People’s Republic of China, visited the Beijing Center for the Performing Arts "Tianqao" and looked at Manas opera in Chinese.
