Work on access of SCO youth to affordable tourism is being done – Parkhanov

Bishkek, June 13, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan has been the chairman of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Youth Council for a year and Deputy Director of the State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic Mirlan Parkhanov told about the results and further plans.
Parkhanov stressed that the SCO Secretary General noted the high level of presidency not only in the Youth Council, but also in Kyrgyzstan as a whole, as today more than 20 documents will be adopted.
Another important part of today's event is that Pakistan has applied to join the council. "Uzbekistan joined last year and is already actively participating. In this year-Pakistan," Parkhanov said. The SCO is a strategically important organization, and half of the world's population is the population of our countries. This is a large market for Kyrgyzstan, a platform that we can use in the interests of the country.
Deputy director said that Kyrgyzstan has been working on the issue of affordable tourism since the beginning of this year, paying attention to the desire of young people to conquer new heights, expand their outlook and learn the culture of different countries.
"At the beginning of the year, we held a tourism development youth forum, where Kyrgyzstan presented not only summer tourism, but also informed that we have a good opportunity to receive guests in winter," he added.
Chairman of the National Youth Council of Kyrgyzstan Taalaibek Daiyrbekov proposed other participants of the Council to hold a forum of tourism development on a permanent basis not only in Kyrgyzstan, but also in all SCO member states.
A meeting of the SCO Youth Council is held today in Bishkek, which is attended by representatives of Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, China and Belarus. They intend to discuss interaction within the organization, as well as the identification of priorities for further development and plans for 2019-2020.
