Education Ministry plans to establish Training and Skills Development Centers

Bishkek, June 13, 2019. /Kabar/.The Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic is planning to establish Training and Skills Development Centers, the press service of the ministry reported.
A workshop on the development of an action plan for the establishment of Centers of Excellence and Training and Skills Development Centers in pilot colleges was held in Bishkek.
Representatives of the Ministry of the Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan, the primary and secondary vocational education systems (colleges and professional lyceums), as well as experts and consultants took part in the workshop.
The work on conversion of eight colleges into Centers of Excellence and Training and Skills Development Centers is being done within the framework of the Year of Regional Development with the support of the Asian Development Bank's Skills for Inclusive Growth sector development program.
Centers of Excellence in partnership with primary vocational education organizations will work in line with the implementation of best educational practices.
