Tokayev orders to free citizens of Kazakhstan detained accidentally

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev ordered to release innocent citizens who were accidental in places of protest, Akorda press service says. At the meeting with Prosecutor General Gizat Nurdauletov, Tokayev instructed to speed up taking measures on ensuring rights of citizens.
On Twitter, Tokayev said he instructed the General Prosecutor's Office to calculate the exact number of detainees and the degree of their guilt.
The General Prosecutor's Office earlier made a statement on illegal protest actions warning tough measures against protesters.
Human rights activists claim "hundreds of people" were arrested in Nur-Sultan, Almaty and other cities of Kazakhstan.
I instructed Prosecutor General to ensure the legitimate rights of citizens, to identify the number of people detained and the degree of their guilt. Innocent citizens and persons who were accidental in places of protest should be released.
