Jeenbekov decorates Xi Jinping with Manas Order

Bishkek, June 13, 2019. /Kabar/. President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov awarded Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping the Manas Order of the 1st degree.
The state award ceremony was held as part of the state visit of Xi Jinping to Kyrgyzstan.
Sooronbay Jeenbekov noted in his speech that the Order is the embodiment of the symbol of life, that is, the sky, water and the sun, and bears the name of the great Kyrgyz hero, who united all the Kyrgyz.
"You have made an enormous contribution to strengthening a comprehensive strategic partnership. Thank you for supporting Kyrgyzstan," the President said.
Jeenbekov also said that Kyrgyzstan is pleased to greet friends from China today.
"Your visit opens a new page in Kyrgyz-Chinese relations," he added.
The Manas Order is the highest state award of Kyrgyzstan. Established on Apr. 16, 1996 by the law "On the establishment of state awards of the Kyrgyz Republic", and is awarded to citizens for their outstanding contribution to the protection and strengthening of the state and democratic society, the unity of the people, the increase of economic, spiritual and intellectual potential of the country.
