Manas and Chingiz Aitmatov National Academy created, its president appointed

AKIPRESS.COM - In line with the president's order, the government of Kyrgyzstan set up the Manas and Chingiz Aitmatov National Academy and named Topchubek Turgunaliyev its president.
The Manas and Chingiz Aitmatov National Academy will promote scientific, technical, and art history studies, the dissemination and popularization of those intransient spiritual, moral and ethical values in the Manas epic, the Kyrgyz folk epic culture, the artistic heritage of Chingiz Aitmatov, the organization, conduct and participation in scientific practical, scientific and technical conferences, projects, competitions, symposia and other events, publishing research and scientific pieces and serial thematic publications, production of audiovisual educational materials.
The Academy will also help organize the Issyk-Kul International Forum and meetings of world cultural figures to discuss and develop recommendations aimed at implementing international humanitarian programs to promote the Manas epic and other spiritual heritage of the Kyrgyz people, as well as works of Chingiz Aitmatov.
