Bishkek, June 18, 2019. /Kabar/. Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic has met with investors from the People’s Republic of China, the Government’s press service reported.
Abylgaziev welcomed the delegation, noting that the state visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Kyrgyzstan, and the agreements reached between the sides will deepen the relations of comprehensive strategic partnership, giving them a strong impulse.
Li Gang, Director of the Chang An multi-profile corporation, noted that the delegation from China approves the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries in various directions.
"We have visited Suyab area near Tokmok town as part of our visit. We intend to make a historical film about outstanding Chinese poet Li Bai, thus showing the cultural lines and values of our relationship. With the assistance of archaeologists from both countries, we would like to explore the area, dig and build Li Bai Poet's Museum to make it a historical tourist destination. Besides, we met with domestic filmmakers and discussed proposals for writing a script for the film, which will be filmed here and in China," he said.
The Kyrgyz and Chinese sides also reached agreements on the production of Chinese tea, output of liquor products, export of agricultural products to China, as well as discussed the prospects of development of the electronic cross-border wholesale trade base.
"We drew attention to the country's tourism potential. We have plans to create a tourist base, a hotel and a complex on the shore of Issyk-Kul Lake. This is not an economic project, but a cultural one, where the tourist route would run through the area where Suyab city used to be located. All of which are of great importance and in line with the vision of President of China Xi Jinping, as part of the Belt and Road Initiative," Li Gang said.
Abylgaziev stressed that the state aims to support investment proposals and projects on further developing cooperation and strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and China.
Suyab, also known as Ordukent (modern-day Ak-Beshim), was an ancient Silk Road city located some 50 km east from Bishkek, and 8 km west southwest from Tokmok, in the Chui River valley, present-day Kyrgyzstan.
Li Bai (701–762), also known as Li Bo, was a Chinese poet acclaimed from his own day to the present as a genius and a romantic figure who took traditional poetic forms to new heights. He and his friend Du were the two most prominent figures in the flourishing of Chinese poetry in the Tang dynasty, which is often called the "Golden Age of Chinese Poetry".
