Kyrgyz, Korean intellectual property offices sign memorandum of understanding

Bishkek, June 19, 2019. /Kabar/. A delegation of the State Service for Intellectual Property and Innovation under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic (Kyrgyz Patent), headed by its Chairwoman Dinara Moldosheva is for a working visit to the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO), Seoul.
Chairwoman of Kyrgyz Patent Dinara Moldosheva met with KIPO Commissioner Park Wonju on June 18. During the meeting the heads of intellectual property offices discussed issues of bilateral cooperation, in particular, the issues of consulting project on automation of business processes of Kyrgyz Patent, training of specialists and exchange of experience, the press service of the Kyrgyz Patent reported.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Kyrgyz Patent and the KIPO to improve the intellectual property automation system and build capacity to create a flexible and wide-ranging basis for bilateral cooperation. The exchange of information technologies and specialized practical knowledge, as well as the exchange of data in intellectual property, which are digitized through the system of intellectual property automation for free access and effective use of information will be carried out.
Dinara Moldosheva offered the Korean side to consider the issue of commercialization of intellectual property objects of Kyrgyzstan, as well as develop an interagency plan of measures for bilateral cooperation.
The KIPO is the patent office and intellectual property office of South Korea. In 2000, the name of the office was changed from "Korean Industrial Property Office" to "Korean Intellectual Property Office". It is located in Daejeon Metropolitan City.
