Kyrgyzstan produces agricultural products worth KGS 23 bln for first quarter

Bishkek, June 19, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan has increased the rate of agricultural production in the first quarter of 2019, Minister of Agriculture, Food Industry and Reclamation Erkinbek Choduyev told during the press conference at Kabar News Agency.
According to his data, the growth rate compared to the same period last year has made 101.8%.
"Production worth KGS 23-24 billion has been produced. Of these, 55 million are produced in the crop, and livestock sectors - 22 billion. Issyk-Kul Oblast is leading- exports of plant products made KGS 5 billion 965 million, exports of livestock - 22 billion 125 million," Choduyev said.
The official added the Agriculture Ministry will set up an export department to prevent export problems and monitor and promote Kyrgyz products.
"Employees will go out to the regions of the European Economic Union, China, UAE, South Korea, etc. We suppose that the unit will report to deputy minister. The most popular products for export are honey, dried fruits, seasonal vegetables, fruits, etc.," the minister said.
