Bishkek, June 19, 2019. /Kabar/. Representatives of Top-10 Kuwaiti tourism companies have arrived in Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the Tourism Department of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The group will visit on June 19-24 the main cultural and natural attractions of the country, including the Burana Tower and tourist facilities of Issyk-Kul: Jyrgalan Valley, Rukh-Ordo, Semenov and Grigoriyev Gorges, as well as Karakol town.
The aim of this tour is to increase the tourist attractiveness of Kyrgyzstan among tourists from Kuwait. Kyrgyzstan is already actively cooperating with Kuwait in tourism: delegations from our country regularly participate in exhibitions, festivals and conferences in Kuwait.
The growing interest in cooperation and business development on the part of potential Arab partners is an opportunity for Kyrgyzstan to further build capacity in the tourism sector.
Rukh Ordo, on the shore of Issyk-Kul Lake, is a cultural center dedicated to five of the major religions in the world: Catholicism, Orthodox Christianity, Judaism, Islam, and Buddhism. Rukh Ordo was designed to be a spiritual center and starting place for interreligious understanding and peace.
Jyrgalan Valley is located in the eastern part of Issyk-Kul Oblast, 60 km from Karakol town. The uniqueness of the area is its location at an attitude of 2300 meters among mountain ranges of Teskey Ala-Too.
Semenov Gorge (Chon-Ak-Suu) is one of the most famous gorges on the northern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake. It is located on the ranges of Kungey Ala-Too and has a length of 30 kilometers.
Grigoriyev Gorge (also Chon Aksuu) is one of the most famous and beautiful sights of Issyk-Kul Lake. This picturesque place is located 60 km from the town of Cholpon-Ata.
