Bishkek, June 22, 2019 /Kabar/. Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Jenish Razakov took part in the meeting of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) in Minsk, Belarus with the participation of deputy prime ministers of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) member states and Chairman of the EEC Board Tigran Sargsyan, the Government’s press service reported.
The agenda of the Council meeting included 28 issues related to the development of integration, cooperation in trade, international cooperation, admission of citizens of EEU member states to work as drivers, customs cooperation, industry, marking of goods, as well as the issue of public (municipal) procurement.
The Digital service "EEU Counterparty" project was discussed and the plan of measures on development of jewelry industry of the EEU member states was considered.
In addition, the participants of the meeting considered the draft Agreement on Free Trade Zone between the EEU and the Republic of Serbia, the draft Agreement on the principles of tax policy in the field of excise duties on alcoholic beverages of the EEU member states.
The deputy prime ministers also decided to send the draft Agreement on the principles of tax policy in the field of excise duties on tobacco products of the member states of the Integration Association to domestic procedures.
The participants discussed the issue of norms of distribution of import customs duties between the budgets of the EEU member states.
They decided to continue the work on the methodology for calculating the standards for the distribution of import customs duties, with the fixation of existing standards for the Republic of Armenia and the Kyrgyz Republic.
The members of the Council approved the agenda of the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, which will be held on Aug. 9, 2019 in Cholpon-Ata town (Kyrgyzstan).
The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) is the executive body of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) responsible for implementing decisions, upholding the EEU treaties and managing the day-to-day business of the EEU. The main task of the Eurasian Economic Commission is to ensure the functioning and development of the EEU, and to prepare proposals for its further integration.
