Basic pension in Kazakhstan grows by 80%

AKIPRESS.COM - Basic pension in Kazakhstan increased by 80%, Minister of Labor and Protection of Population Berdibek Saparbayev said at a public meeting, Zakon.kz reports. The Minister reminded that pension's size and the length of service have no correlations since last year. The mechanism of establishing of basic pension has changed.
According to him, there are 2.1 million pensioners in Kazakhstan, whose basic pension increased by 80%. As of June 1, 2019, an average size of basic pension stood at 27,000 tenge, and an average size of accumulated pension amounted to 85,785 tenge, he said.
The Minister added that the size of social payments in cases of disability, loss of breadwinner and loss of work from 2020 is expected to grow by an average of 30%.
