Bishkek, June 24, 2019. /Kabar/. Border guards of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan have conducted joint practical exercises for heads of border units (border posts), the press service of the State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
Servicemen of the two countries studied the requirements of the Line of Conduct of border guards on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek section of the state border, conducted a reconnaissance of the area, determining the main directions of the routes of movement of goods across the border smuggled, as well as specified the tasks on joint patrolling of undescribed sections of the state border.
"The main task of the joint practical exercises is to organize effective interaction between the main links of the sides at the border posts. Thanks to these exercises, servicemen develop a common understanding of and ways to carry out the tasks set for the protection of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border. As a result of the training sessions, the order of joint actions was determined in the event of a change in the situation on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border, and there was an operative exchange of information of mutual interest," Colonel Taalaibek Tajibayev, the Deputy Head of the Jalal-Abad Department of the State Border Service Oblast said.
