Kyrgyzstan, Japan sign MOU on environmental protection

AKIPRESS.COM - Director of the State Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry of Kyrgyzstan Abdykalyk Rustamov and Environment Minister of Japan Yoshiaki Harada signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of environment protection, the Agency reported.
The document was signed on the sidelines of the first international forum "Central Asia and Japan" in Tokyo.
The Kyrgyz delegation was led by the Vice PM Kubatbek Boronov.
The aim of the forum was to provide the participating countries opportunity to exchange their visions and practices in the field of environmental conservation and exploring potential fields for future cooperation.
The delegations from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Japan participated in the forum.
Vice PM Kubatbek Boronov expressed gratitude for warm welcome and high-level organization of the Japan-Central Asia forum.
Boronov met with the Environment Ministry of Japan Yoshiaki Harada and Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Kenji Yamada within the working visit.
