'We will accelerate restoration works in Arys' — Vice PM of Kazakhstan

AKIPRESS.COM - The damage caused to the city of Arys during explosions in ammunition warehouse will be calculated soon, the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance Alikhan Smailov said at the meeting with residents, Sputnik Kazakhstan reported.
About 80-90% of buildings in Arys were reported damaged from shells as a result of explosions, according to him.
Smailov said that the government was ordered to render aid from the state reserve. All measures are being taken for restoration of homes, social and other infrastructure. The volume of damage will ba established soon, he noted.
According to Smailov, the state material reserve fund is food products and clothes for those affected by accident.
The recovery works will be carried out in accelerated mode under the control of the government.
