Chinese Government to pay for organization of SCO summit in Bishkek

Bishkek, June 26, 2019. /Kabar/. Signing of the Letters of Exchange on the provision of financial assistance to the Kyrgyz Republic for the preparation of the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) between the Governments of Kyrgyzstan and China was held on June 24 in the Kyrgyz Economy Ministry.
In accordance with the above-mentioned Letters of Exchange, the Chinese government will allocate USD 6 million 760 thousand to cover the costs associated with the preparation of the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the SCO member states.
The Letters of Exchange was signed by Minister of Economy Sanjar Mukanbetov on behalf of the Kyrgyz government and Ambassador of China to Kyrgyzstan Du Dewen on behalf of the Chinese Government.
The meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the (SCO) was held on June 14 in Bishkek with the participation of eight member states and four observer states.
