AKIPRESS.COM - The second round of the talks on enhanced partnership and cooperation agreement between the European Union and Uzbekistan was held on June 25-26 in Brussels, the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan said.
"The sides achieved progress on many articles and provisions of this important document aimed to bring the relations between Uzbekistan and the European Union to a new level," the Foreign Ministry said.
The European Union voiced commitment to support of reforms in Uzbekistan, including development of diversified and competitive economy, integration of the country into global economic ties, improvement of business and investment environment.
The working group will continue talks until June 28. Two rounds of talks will be held this year 0 in Tashkent and Brussels each.
