Bishkek, June 27, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan ranks second among the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) countries in cheapness fuel and lubricants, Shukhrat Sabirov, the State Antimonopoly Regulation Agency Director told during the press conference at Kabar News Agency.
He said the Agency monitors prices and tariffs for socially significant goods.
According to his data, the prices for fuel and lubricants this year are much lower compared to the same period of 2018. "As of today, prices have been reduced by 5-10% or by 3-4 soms depending on the fuel brand. Fuel and lubricants are mainly supplied from Russia without customs duties. The Kyrgyz Republic ranks second after Kazakhstan in terms of the cheapness of fuel and lubricants prices among the EEU countries," the Agency director said.
Besides, Director Sabirov noted about reduction of violation by entrepreneurs, salespeople and advertisers.
More than 300 violations were revealed in the country in the first quarter of 2019.
"The Antimonopoly Agency periodically conducts raids and monitoring at the points of sale of consumer goods. In comparison with last year violations are less, advertisers and businessmen became more competent and law-abiding. Violations are revealed mainly among retailers of consumer goods," he said.
