Regional economic forum held in Osh

Osh, June 28, 2019. /Kabar/. The Investments Promotion and Protection Agency of Kyrgyzstan in cooperation with the Osh Mayor's Office, Osh Oblast state administration, the United Nations Development Program and the Entrepreneurship Support Centre in Osh held on June 27 a Regional Economic Forum on the topic: "Favorable investment climate is the basis for the development of the regions".
Representatives of the Offices of the President and Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, Osh Mayor Taalaibek Sarybashov, Governor of Osh Oblast Uzarbek Zhylkybaev, the Investment Promotion and Protection Agency Director Adilbek uulu Shumkarbek, Governors of all southern oblasts of the republic, town mayors and regional administrations heads, representatives of small and medium business from all the regions of the republic took part in the Forum’s opening ceremony.
Osh Mayor Taalaibek Sarybashov made a presentation on the investment potential of Osh city, development of joint enterprises, told about the social and economic indicators of development. In the second part of the Forum, representatives of the business environment presented priority projects and held meetings in the B2B format between business representatives.
Forum participants discussed problems and ways of development of investment activity on the territory of regions, about institutions and measures of state support of business, formation and development of new enterprises in order to increase employment and self-employment of population. As part of the Forum a fair of domestically produced goods was held, as well as a thematic photo exhibition on the potential of the three oblasts in the south of the country.
