Bakytzhan Sagintayev appointed mayor of Almaty

AKIPRESS.COM - Bakytzhan Sagintayev has been appointed as a new mayor of the city of Almaty by the decree of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Akorda press service reports. According to the press service of the Prime Minister, Askar Mamin during his working trip visited Almaty to participate in a regular meeting with residents of the city.
Speaking at the event, Mamin announced a new appointment of Sagintayev.
The head of state held a meeting with representatives and activists of the city and introduced the new mayor underlining a huge experience of Sagintayev.
Sagintayev has been holding the posts of Chief of Staff of President Office, Prime Minister, Deputy PM and others.
