Bishkek, July 1, 2019. /Kabar/. 44 villages in Kyrgyzstan will have been provided with clean drinking water by the end of the year, Askarbek Toktoshev, the Director of the Department Drinking Water Supply and Sewerage of the State Agency for Architecture, Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Kyrgyz Republic told during the press conference at Kabar News Agency.
There are 584 villages in the Kyrgyz Republic that require water supply. "69 villages were already provided with drinking water during the first half of 2019," he said.
Askarbek Toktoshev noted that the issues of drinking water supply are solved at the expense of international partners.
"In particular, we have eight partners. These are the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the Islamic Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Swiss Confederation, the European Union. There are also charitable and humanitarian organizations. Mainly from Arab countries," he explained.
The budget of the Kyrgyz Republic provides for 500 KGS million, KGS 50 million have already been allocated.
