Bishkek, July 1, 209. /Kabar/. The Steppe Eagle 2019 international peacekeeping exercise was held on June 17-28 at the Iliysky training centre of Kazakhstan, the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
Servicemen from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, the United Kingdom and the United States participated in the exercise, servicemen from Uzbekistan, India and Turkey took part as observers.
The issues of humanitarian aid accompanying, organizing patrols, providing medical assistance, negotiating with refugees, etc. were worked out during the exercises.
Seven servicemen of medical service represented the Kyrgyz Armed Forces in the course of preparation of the military field hospital of the 2nd level for participation in the United Nations’ peacekeeping operations.
The international experience gained by military doctors will have a positive impact on the training of personnel for subsequent participation in UN peacekeeping missions, both as an independent unit and as part of the deployed medical facilities of foreign countries
