New British ambassador presents copies of credentials to Kyrgyz FM

Bishkek, July 2, 2019. / Kabar /. Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Chingiz Aidarbekov received new Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Kyrgyz Republic Charles Garrett.
The main purpose of the meeting was presenting copies of credentials by Garrett, discussion of current issues and prospects for bilateral cooperation, including cooperation within international organizations, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
Minister Aidarbekov stressed the interest in a regular dialogue on issues of mutual interest and noted with satisfaction the ongoing inter-parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.
He also expressed hope that the projects implemented by the Department for International Development of the United Kingdom in Kyrgyzstan will be continued and expanded in the future.
Garrett praised the democratic processes in the Kyrgyz Republic, in which the country has achieved success in establishing the rule of law, the formation of a free, legal society and relevant democratic institutions.
Regarding the further development of cooperation between private British companies, the ambassador emphasized that representatives of those companies that participated in the business forum in March of this year in Bishkek and visited the Kyrgyz Republic were very pleased with the high level of proposed conditions for investments, favorable business climate and the level of readiness of human resources of the Kyrgyz Republic to achieve high goals.
