Arrested Deputy Education Minister of Kazakhstan plea-bargains with investigators

AKIPRESS.COM - Deputy Minister of Education of Kazakhstan Elmira Sukhanberdiyeva suspected of corruption agreed on plea bargain, Hola News reported citing chairman of anti-corruption agency Alik Shpekbayev. The case was directed to court. The press office of the Nur-Sultan court said the hearing date on this case has not yet been arranged.
Sukhanberdiyeva was arrested this June.
The anti-corruption agency reported that Vice Minister of Education might be involved in bribing and illegal business activities. Investigation suspects abuse of power by Sukhanberdiyeva.
