Employees of Arabian contracting company rally in Nur-Sultan

AKIPRESS.COM - Employees of the Consolidated Contracting Engineering & Procurement (ССЕР) contracting company went on protest in the city of Nur-Sultan today. They are demanding rise of salaries and improvement of working conditions and food.
Earlier, a conflict occurred between local and foreign workers at the Tengiz field on June 29. The incident was provoked by a photo posted by a foreign worker featuring a local young woman overgrew into a brawl. The local workers found a photo incident and insulting. Near 45 people sought medical assistance in the result.
A foreign worker, who provoked a conflict between foreign and local workers at the Tengiz field, was fired. First Vice Energy Minister of Kazakhstan Mahambet Dosmuhambetov said that company management will investigate the incident.
Atyrau regional governor Nurlan Nogayev visited the field to talk with the workers and found out that the conflict arose due to different work conditions.
