EU highly appreciates implementation of budget support program in education sector

According to the independent evaluation of the European Union (UN) budget support programs, the efficiency of their implementation in the education sector is much higher than in other sectors. This has become known at the meeting of the Ministry of Education on the independent evaluation of the budget support programs of the EU in the education sector.
The use of budget support made possible to allocate resources for the Information Management System, inclusive education, audit of the sector, development of the accreditation system.
"A number of reforms have just begun and will have a significant effect in the long-term perspective, but European experts have noted a systematic approach to key reforms compared to the previous period," the report said.
Minister of Education and Science Gulmira Kudaiberdiyeva emphasized the high efficiency of this type of donor support, in which funds go directly to the budget, which allows for greater transparency in their use.
Head of the Cooperation Department of the EU Delegation to Kyrgyzstan Charlotte Adriane noted that the processes of increasing financial accountability of schools were also launched, a functional system of program budgeting and public internal financial control mechanisms were established, and access to preschool education was improved.
Participants emphasized the positive changes in improving the quality of school management, management of professional educational institutions and universities management as a result of the introduction of accreditation mechanisms, the development of a safe school educational environment, the work of the Social Council on Education.
