Bishkek, July 4, 2019. /Kabar/. "Kyrgyzstan can withstand regional competition only due to its organic products," President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov said at the meeting with residents of Batken Oblast.
The head of state explained to the residents the essence of the set goal to withstand global competition due to Kyrgyzstan’s unique environmentally friendly products without chemicals.
"Most of the land under cultivation in Kyrgyzstan is organic in itself, because our farmers do not use chemicals. The cost of our agricultural products is cheaper than in neighboring countries. These factors will significantly increase the brand awareness of eco-products produced in Kyrgyzstan in the future. We must preserve our organic products, which are highly valued on the global market," Jeenbekov said.
He stressed that in order to enhance the export of environmentally friendly organic products, except for the Eurasian Economic Union countries and China, an action plan has been approved and the necessary measures are being taken within its framework.
In addition, the Kyrgyz government's program for export development in 2019-2022 was adopted. In accordance with this program, it is planned to increase the volume of Kyrgyz processed fruit products exported to China, and measures are taken to ensure the growth of the total volume of processed products.
