AKIPRESS.COM - A man shot dead 2 people at the Khan-Teniri camp in Issyk-Kul on July 4 and fled the scene taking a 48-year-old woman hostage, police said.
A 48-year-old deputy head of the camp and 31-year-old worker were shot dead by the 29-year-old native of Tyup village Sergey in Enylchek syrt zone.
Another man who tried to take gun away from Sergey was stabbed in the hand.
The manhunt and special operation to rescue a hostage are under way, police said.
Criminal probe into murder was launched. Police described the attack as a "household conflict."
Deputy Interior Minister Mirlan Kanimetov arrived on the scene to lead the operation to locate the perpetrator and free the hostage.
Issyk-Kul region interior affairs department confirmed to Turmush that the incident occurred at the Tur-Khan-Tengri LLC camp.
The camp is located in the syrt zone of Ak-Su district of Issyk-Kul region. The Tur-Khan-Tengri LLC provides hunting services to foreigners and is engaged in animal husbandry.
The camp is located 180 km from Karakol town in Enylchek village, 2750 meters above sea level. The total area of hunting grounds is 50,538 hectares.
