Head of General Directorate of Road Safety about duties of Patrol Service’s officers

Bishkek, July 5, 2019. /Kabar/. Head of the General Directorate of Road Safety, Police Colonel Azamat Israyilov told about duties of officers of the Police Patrol Service during the press conference at Kabar News Agency.
He noted that a new service, the Police Patrol Service Directorate, is being created as a result of the merger of the Directorate of Road Safety and the Patrol Service.
"1292 participants submitted documents to the open competition for employment, 1004 participants took part in the testing, 99 people failed. The rest of the participants pass the physical training standards since June 24 to the present day. After the successful interview participants will be sent to the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for a 3-month training period," Israyilov said.
The duties of this service will include:
- Prompt response to all 102 calls (police call number), joint work with the public to combat crime and protect public order;
- Ensuring traffic safety and using new automatic and software technologies to identify persons who deviate from the payment of fines for violations;
- Oversight of the technical condition of vehicles;
- Accompaniment and ensuring the safe passage of official and foreign delegations.
"In emergencies the Patrol Service staff will work with other services to ensure public order and road safety. In order to fully perform their duties, the Service employees will be provided with new vehicles and new equipment," Israyilov said.
He also said that, in order to reduce corruption risks, the Patrol Service employees will receive good salaries and bonuses.
