EU-Central Asia forum held in Bishkek

Bishkek, July 6, 2019. / Kabar /. The EU-Central Asia forum is held in Bishkek. Special Representative of the European Union for Central Asia Peter Burian, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Azizbek Madmarov, representatives of civil society and Central Asian countries took part in it.
Opening the EU-CA forum, Peter Burian noted that they want to invest and support regional cooperation. Burian also expressed hope for further cooperation development.
Deputy Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Azizbek Madmarov said that the recently adopted new EU Strategy for Central Asia will further help the integration of the countries of the Central Asian region.
EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini took part in the second part of the forum.
Mogherini has arrived in Kyrgyzstan for official visit and tomorrow will take part in the 15th meeting of the EU and Central Asian foreign ministers.
