AKIPRESS.COM - The government of Kazakhstan has approved a development plan of Shymkent until 2023, according to which more than $3.1 million are needed, Zakon.kz reports.
"The plan consists of 10 directions and 89 projects. The priority will be given to private investments for easing the state budget. Implementation of the complex plan will require 1.285 trillion tenge, out of which 836 billion tenge or 65% will be funded by private investors," Shymkent mayor Gabidulla Abdrakhimov said during the meeting.
Prime Minister Askar Mamin ordered to boost investment and export potential to make the city regional hub and attractive for investors.
Implementation of the plan will allow to increase the GDP from 2 trillion tenge (2018) up to 3.5 trillion tenge (2023), he added.
