Arson is not excluded in Arys, Defense Minister says

AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan Nurlan Ermekbayev does not rule out arson attack in the ammunition warehouse in Arys, Tengrinews.kz reports. "To date, the law enforcement bodies are carrying out investigation. All possible versions are being considered: this might be a human factor, violation of fire safety rules, negligence, technical reasons, for example, electrical wiring short circuit, chemical charge reaction, the possibility of arson or sabotage is not excluded. According to the results of the investigation, the responsibility of each official will be determined," he said at a press conference.
Some 165 people were affected by explosion in the ammunition warehouse in Arys on June 24 morning. 89 of them were hospitalized, 76 released home for out-patient treatment.
