Bishkek, July 11, 2019. / Kabar /. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov, in the framework of his official visit to the Swiss Confederation, met with representatives of Swiss big business in Bern, his press service reported.
President Jeenbekov noted that bilateral relations with Switzerland are one of the priorities for Kyrgyzstan not only in foreign policy, but also in the successful development of the economy. Switzerland provides significant support to Kyrgyzstan in building parliamentary democracy, strengthening civil society institutions, and implementing national development programs.
He described in detail the measures taken to improve the investment climate and create favorable conditions for doing business in the country, especially for small and medium-sized businesses.
Jeenbekov added that Kyrgyzstan has one of the most liberal fiscal regimes in the region.
He emphasized that in Kyrgyzstan all sectors of the economy are open to external investors.
Representatives of Swiss business circles expressed their readiness for joint cooperation in the implementation of various investment projects. They spoke about the possibilities of interaction in the areas of digitalization, certification, finance, energy, tourism, oil refining, production of dairy products.
Investment companies assisting the Swiss business community in the implementation of projects in the CIS countries, expressed desire to visit Kyrgyzstan.
Heads and representatives of such major companies as Herculis Partners, ABB Schweiz, Tatneft Europe, OBVIAM Investing for Impact, Blue Orchard Finance, Integral Petroleum, SICPA , Switzerland Tourism, as well as the Swiss Chamber of Commerce, the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) and others took part in the meeting with the Kyrgyz President.
