AKIPRESS.COM - The government of Kazakhstan has approved a list of narcotic and psychoactive drugs subject to control, Zakon.kz reported.
According to the decree dated July 3, 2019, the list of narcotic and psychoactive drugs is established on the basis of a Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs lists of 1961, UN Convention on Psychotropic Substances of 1971 and Convention against Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances of 1988, to which Kazakhstan joined in 1998.
The list of narcotic drugs consists of 73 medicines: allylprodin, alfameprodin, benzididine, heroin, hashish, methadone intermediate, normorphine, fenadson, etc.
The list of psychotropic substances and precursors to be controlled coprises 61 drugs, including synthetic cannabinoids, aminorex, methaqualone, parahexyl, etc.
There are narcotic and psychotropic substances used in the medicine and controlled by specialists.
The decree enters into force from July 5, 2019 and subject to official publication.
