Bishkek, July 12, 2019 / Kabar /. A delegation led by Prosecutor General of the Kyrgyz Republic, Otkurbek Dzhamshitov, took part in the fifth meeting of the Interstatel Council on Combating Corruption of the Commonwealth of Independent States i(CIS) in Minsk, the press service of the main supervisory body reported.
The Prosecutor Generals of Armenia, Belarus, Russia, as well as the heads of the Agencies of Kazakhstan and Tajikistan in the field of combating corruption took part in the meeting of the Council.
According to the agenda, a number of issues related to the Council’s activities were discussed, delegations made presentations and exchanged experience in combating corruption, signed relevant decisions on the implementation of the Interstate Council on Combating Corruption decisions, the interstate program of common measures to combat crime for 2019-2023, and so on.
According to the preliminary agreement of the members of the Council and the alphabetical order, the next meeting of the Interstate Council on Combating Corruption will be held in 2020 in Kazakhstan.
The Agreement on the formation of the Interstate Council for Combating Corruption was signed by the heads of state of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan.
Currently, the full members of the council are the prosecutors general of Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Russia as well as Chairman of the Agency for Civil Service and Anti-Corruption of Kazakhstan.
