Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan discuss cooperation

AKIPRESS.COM - The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov had a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan Akhmaljon Kuchkarov on July 11, Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports.
A range of issues related to bilateral relations was considered and consistent strengthening of cooperation between the two countries was noted.
Stressing the necessity of maintaining regular contacts, the parties noted the significance of activating the political dialogue based on the principles of good neighborhood and mutual respect. In this regard, the results of joint work from the beginning of the year were discussed, as well as further steps aimed at the strengthening of bilateral ties were determined.
Also an exchange of views on the issues of developing trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation took place. The parties noted the role of the joint Turkmen-Uzbek Commission on trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation in the process of further strengthening bilateral relations.
