Bishkek, July 12, 2019. / Kabar /. Kazakhstan attaches particular importance to the development of bilateral relations with Kyrgyzstan, Kazakh Prime Minister Askar Mamin told during the negotiations in a narrow format with Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev as part of his official visit to the Kyrgyz Republic.
"We have the format of the EAEU, where we cooperate in a multilateral format and I must say that in all aspects of bilateral and multilateral cooperation we find a common understanding of all current issues related to the development of bilateral relations," said Askar Mamin.
He added that Kazakhstan attaches particular importance to today's meeting of the intergovernmental council.
"And we are confident that within the framework of the meeting we will work out common approaches to the development of topical issues in bilateral relations," he said.
In addition, the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan drew attention to the fact that last year was completed with an increase in trade turnover.
"But at the same time, we believe that the potential for the development of bilateral trade is much higher, and for our part, we are ready to consider all relevant issues for the solution of which the adoption of relevant documents is necessary. Kazakhstan is fully prepared and set to resolve all topical issues of our joint agenda, therefore, we believe that the meeting will give a good impetus to the development of bilateral relations. And the task that is set for the government is to bring the turnover in the short-term period to at least $ 1 billion - I think it is quite achievable," he concluded.
