Bishkek, July 12, 2019. /Kabar/. "A number of promising joint projects between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan are planned, which we expect to implement," Kyrgyz Prime Minister Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev said following the results of the 8th Kyrgyz-Kazakh Intergovernmental Council during the statement to the media.
The Kyrgyz prime minister noted with great satisfaction that the bilateral cooperation between the two countries is developing dynamically, the political and economic dialogue is being maintained, contacts are being made at all levels. All this contributes to the content of the strategic partnership and allied relations between the two countries.
"Today we have discussed in detail the entire range of bilateral issues. We have come to mutual understanding on many of them and reached agreements with due consideration of mutual interests. We have outlined ways to resolve some issues. We have reviewed the implementation of previously reached agreements at the level of heads of state and government. We believe that they should be implemented in a timely manner. Special attention was paid to the further development and deepening of our cooperation in the areas of economy, trade, investment, agriculture, implementation of joint projects in the field of transport and communications, as well as the use of water and energy resources in the region," Abylgaziev said.
Prime Minister Abylgaziev noted that Kazakhstan is one of the main trade partners of Kyrgyzstan.
"We have a number of promising joint projects that we expect to implement. We also considered border issues, including the construction of roads, the construction of a bridge, improving the work of checkpoints at the border. Mutually acceptable solutions have been found on all issues. The issues of cultural cooperation between the two fraternal nations were also discussed. We have come to a common opinion that cooperation in this sphere should be actively developed," Abylgaziev said.
He informed that today the sides have signed the Protocol of the VIII meeting of the Kyrgyz-Kazakh Intergovernmental Council, as well as a number of important bilateral documents in trade, economic and other areas.
In conclusion, Abylgaziev emphasized that Kyrgyzstan is always glad to welcome investors in the country, noting that he will personally pay attention to the issues of activities of Kazakh investors. He stressed that their interests will be protected at the level of both domestic investors and third countries.
