Osh, July 15, 2019 /Kabar/. The construction of a bypass road in Osh city will start in 2020 at the expense of grant funds from Japan. This became known yesterday, July 15 during the familiarization of Governor of Osh Oblast Uzarbek Zhylkybayev with construction project.
All necessary documentation and design drawings for the construction of the bypass road are fully completed. Japan is ready to finance the construction of the road, which will pass through the old cattle market of Furkhat village, then through the village of Ozgur and through modern bridge reach the Papan highway.
The total cost of construction is KGS 1 billion 754 million. The width of road surface will be 12 meters, and the width of the roadway 7 meters, the width of the two roadsides 2.5 meters each, plus the width of the sidewalks in the localities on both sides 2.5 meters each.
The project is currently awaiting approval by the Government. Commissioning of the bypass road is expected in 2022, which will reduce the flow and traffic jams inside Osh city by several times. The bypass will also help the internal roads in Osh to remain undamaged due to the reduction of heavy trucks.
