Bishkek, July 15, 2019. /Kabar/. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev familiarized with construction of the bypass road of Balykchy town in Issyk-Kul oblast.
The press service of the Government reported, that the prime minister examined the sites where construction works are underway, talked to representatives of contractors and local residents.
Minister of Transport and Roads of Kyrgyzstan Zhanat Beishenov said in accordance with the project of reconstruction of the Balykchy - Cholpon-Ata - Korumdu road, construction of artificial structures, construction of communications and culverts are underway on the Balykchy bypass road.
He added that the construction of the road requires about KGS 500 million, which were not provided for in the preliminary project of reconstruction of the Balykchy - Cholpon-Ata – Korumdu road.
The minister also added that the cost of the road reconstruction increased to KGS 8 billion 785 million from the original plan of KGS 6 billion 803 million.
The prime minister stressed that, despite the fact that the road reconstruction project did not take into account such significant expenses, the funds needed to complete the construction will be found.
"Reconstruction of this important road was started without proper calculations and project, without supported sources of financing. The consequences of this decision are still a heavy burden on the country's budget. However, the Government will find the necessary funds to complete the construction of the road this year," Abylgaziev said and thanked the local residents for their patience.
Prime Minister Abylgaziev instructed to ensure the quality completion of all construction works in strict accordance with the established plan.
