Bishkek, July 16, 2019. /Kabar/. Departure of hajj pilgrims for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia starts in Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the Spiritual Board of Muslims of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
According to its data, today, during the night of 16 to 17 July, the first group of 392 pilgrims and 8 group leaders will fly from Bishkek to Medina.
Note, that Saudi Arabia has allocated a quota of 6 thousand 10 seats to Kyrgyzstan this year.
The Hajj is an annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, the holiest city for Muslims, and a mandatory religious duty for Muslims that must be carried out at least once in their lifetime by all adult Muslims who are physically and financially capable of undertaking the journey, and can support their family during their absence.
