Mongolia, UNESCO discuss further ties

AKIPRESS.COM - Mongolian Social Policy Advisor to the Parliament Speaker, Professor Dr. D.Badarch held a meeting with Chief of Section for Research, Policy and Foresight in the UNESCO Sector for Social and Human Sciences John Crowley, and Head of Social and Human Sciences, Programme Specialist at UNESCO Office in Beijing Frederick Russell-Rivoallan on July 16, Montsame reports.
The representatives have arrived in Ulaanbaatar to participate in a seminar taking place under the theme, ‘Reducing Social Inequality: From Knowledge to Government Policy', in Ulaanbaatar on July 17-19. The seminar is being organized by the Parliament Secretariat, Mongolian Academy of Sciences, UNDP, and UNESCO Management of Social Transformations Programme.
Chief of Section for Research, Policy and Foresight in the UNESCO Sector for Social and Human Sciences John Crowley highlighted that the meeting is highly significant in defining further partnership. He said that they hope to find in which sectors the partnership should further develop at the end of the three-day-seminar as information on the sectors that require assistance and support will be given at the seminar as well as discussion will be held on how to cooperate at international, regional or interorganizational level.
