AKIPRESS.COM - The State Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Safety of Kyrgyzstan voiced the first results of examination of the fallen livestock at Solton-Sary pasture of Naryn region. Deputy Director of the Service Kumar Isakov during the press conference of the government on July 18 said that the examination of the livestock started after locals complained on livestock die off at the Solton-Sary pasture.
According to Isakov, one of the locals said 25 heads of sheep died in Buchuk settlement of the Solton-Sary pasture.
In this regard, the territorial veterinary laboratory conducted an examination of the fallen livestock and found nitrate and arseium in the liver of the sheep.
The examination of another man's livestock at the pasture revealed an arseium in the organism of the animals.
However, one of the inspections did not show any chemicals in the livestock organism.
The veterinary authorities said additional examinations are being conducted and will report the detailed results later.
Currently, the epizootic situation at the pasture is stable, Isakov said.
Dozens of Naryn residents recently rallied against the work of a gold ore mill at the Solton-Sary pasture. The protesters were claiming that pasture lands are being destroyed, sources of clean drinking water are being polluted.
Governor Kayipov then said that examination is being conducted concerning the reports about the death of livestock
