Embassy of Turkmenistan refutes media reports about death of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov

AKIPRESS.COM - Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Kyrgyzstan Shadurdy Mereov has denied media reports about death of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Several media reported about death of President Turkmenistan Berdimuhamedov on July 21. The official statement will be issued later, the Ambassador said.
The Foreign Ministry of Kyrgyztan called the reports a fake.
Several media reported earlier that President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov allegedly passed away, citing political expert and director of Eurasian Problems Monitoring Center Aslan Rubaevas saying to the news agency Govorit Moskva with reference to a local source.
The opposition YouTube channel Free Turkmenistan with reference to correspondents in Ashgabat said Berdimuhamedov died in the second half of July 20 of kidney failure.
The Chronicle of Turkmenistan explained disappearance of Gurbanguli Berdimuhamedov with a serious disease of his mother. According to the portal, the President's mother Ogulabat Berdimuhamedova is receiving medical treatment in Germany for 10 days. Her condition is critical.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was born on July 29, 1957. He has become the President of Turkmenistan on 14 February 2007.
